New website has been launched!

Today we presenting this more modern website to you: http://new.spaceengine.org/

Please register on the forum and start posting! Any suggestions about this website are highly appreciated in this thread. The Universe section should be filled with screenshots, so you are welcome to post screenshots in this thread. If you are mod-maker, feel free to create a thread about your mods in the Mods and Addons forum and copy information from the old forum there.

The new website will replace this old one, so registration here will be closed soon. The old site is stayed on en.spaceengine.org, while the old Russian site is moved to ru.spaceengine.org. Because of changed URL of the old Russian site, some links/images here could be broken as well. Please report any issues here.

I really dig the new website! It does need some proofreading, but otherwise it looks beautiful.

This is not planned.

Fireinthehole, I agree, this is a very important thing to do in order to encourage the existing SE community to move to the new website. If the forum is left empty on the new website, a majority of existing members would stay on the old site.

DoctorOfSpace said it's a different format, it means very likely there are not automated tools for exporting/importing messages or threads.
If we take the time to copy/paste manually more important topics during the test period, like others are doing just now, when the old forum will be moved in background the new one will have nice and tidy contents.
I doubt existing members will cease posting, smile so I guess when on the old forum reply functions will be disabled, they'll use the new one.

Wait, will the current website sill be around, just you won't be able to post? Because if so, it's a huge relief. I don't want the current site to be gone forever...

The new website will replace this old one, so registration here will be closed soon. Links will be updated too, the new site will move on http://spaceengine.org/, and the old one to the http://old.spaceengine.org/

To tell the truth, the fact that posting functions will be locked it's only my guess but it seems a logical next move, besides closing registrations, or else chaos will ensue.
