| Later today I'll be working on an alternate solar system with hypothetical planets added and whatnot, there Will be 6 inner planets, 3 gas giants and 3 ice giants and a larger pluto. When i'm done i'll add the .sc file to it so you guys can check it out.

Edit: If anyone is going to ask if I can make galaxies(make the system and png textures), well, I can't do that(I don't think I'll ever understand the tutorial  ). I can only clear out the background and prepare it.

oh, and can someone give me specific-to-the-microgram instructions for making the textures for the galaxy in gimp? I don't exactly use gimp a lot, so, I'm a noob...

| I do not use Gimp, but I think there is nothing difficult in this.
Remove background stars. Make an alpha channel and put there a dust of galaxy(brown dark parts)
And make SYS image using LEVELS tool(if it is in Gimp) editing channels separately.

Better to decompose the image into separate grayscale layers for each color channel, edit them like that, and then compose a new RGB image when finished.
