| Is it possible to reconfigure the function of the E and Q tilt keys? I find it very counterintuitive to tilt left with E, and right with Q - I would rather have it the other way round

| I'd been meaning to post about this for a long time as well. My vote would be to invert it as default - it's the opposite of virtually every other similar interface.
Good to hear we can change it though, I'd assumed we'd have to wait until you added more hotkey customization.

| I've always found the default movement keys to be quite intuitive and am happy with them (though I dislike that the center of orbit-rotation of the camera is the object selected, not the object being followed as in Celestia; makes it too easy to accidentally end up lightyears away by clicking on a background star). It would be nice to see some way of changing key assignments in the program for a future release, to better accommodate peoples' varying preferences. I think this is already on the to-do list? That would solve everyone's potential issues with the key configuration.

| Can we change the speed of rotation, it always seems to rotate too fast for me, I would like to slow it down a lot.

In the meantime however, you could always momentarily switch to spacecraft mode and use that for precision rotation, then switch back when you have it how you like it. Also useful for low framerates.

| RAF Blackface: What I do to get around that (if your trying to take a level screenshot for example) is to switch to airplane or spaceship mode and tap q or e rotate it very slowly and then switch back to free mode when it looks right to you. Hopefully this will help
Edit: Didn't realize this was already suggested

You can change the speed of the moment keys for 'free flight' mode by modifying these default parameters in the 'user.cfg' file:
MoveKeyAccel 200 MoveKeyDecel 500 TurnKeyAccel 200 TurnKeyDecel 500
Try increasing the values by x3 or more, and keep experiment with the values till it feels right for you personally.

Quote (Robbie) You can change the speed of the moment keys for 'free flight' mode by modifying these default parameters in the 'user.cfg' file: This changes acceleration/deceleration time in milliseconds. I.e. if you fast strike a key, camera moves or rotates at small angle.
