It will be possible to show when select a galaxy the number of the stars that galaxy contains? If the star are generated proceduraly, it is known how many stars a galaxy has. And if is possible to know these statistical datas for moons, planets, asteroids, nebula, etc, when selecting galaxy or star clusters? For planets it is shown how many moons they have, but with F2 button; it will be nice to show those moons like F2 button for stars, and with F2 button to see all statistical datas above for star clusters and galaxies.

PC1: Intel Core i5-2320 CPU, 3 GHz, 8 GB RAM, AMD ATI Radeon HD 6840, 1024 Gb VRAM, 32 & 64-bit Operating System

If the stars are generated procedurally, it is UNKNOWN how many stars a galaxy has. It is impossible to calculate how many stars will be generated, it only gives an upper limit. To obtain such statistics, all stars of galaxy should be generated. This may take some days to do, I think smile

Why is it that everyone has the same procedurally generated universe then? As in I can go to RS 8040....and it's the same planet as in everybody's version. Am I missing something or wouldn't that mean there should be a fixed number of stars in each galaxy etc.?

PC specs: Windows 7 64 bit. Intel Core i5-2400 quad-core (3.1GHz, 6MB Cache). 6GB DDR3-1333MGz SDRAM[2 DIMMs]. 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive. 3GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 545.

There is a fixed number in each galaxy, but it would take so long to load them all up for a count since they are procedural.

SpaceEngineer, perhaps you could do a simple galaxy size + age estimation on the number of stars inside it, it might not be very accurate, but at least it would give you some educated guess.
