Just a suggestion for a more accurate depiction of Zubenelgenubi, aka Alpha Librae. It is a trinary star system, but in game it is only depicted as one massive star.

Also, why in the world are some stars like bubbly masses? I've never understood it, and to me it always made landing on a nearby planet less photorealistic.

Just a suggestion for you. It would be great if it were more realistic. Thanks. :>

As for why giant stars appear bubbly, that's because they are bubbly in reality. smile They have very extended atmospheres with low surface gravity, and so convection cells become much larger. http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/22-689-1 (Try the search feature in the future -- often answers to questions may be found in previous threads.)

As for Zubenelgenubi, many real systems aren't yet portrayed fully accurately in SE. This is because no single star catalog contains complete or even accurate info of all known star systems and their components, so many must be edited in manually. Given the number of star systems out there, this is a lot of work! If you'd like to help, you may try modding the real Zubenelgenubi system yourself and sharing the system file. See the modding sub-forum for more info.

Welcome to the boards, and if you haven't done so yet, please check out the rules thread.

Thank you for your response. Didn't know that about some of the stars, I should do some more reading.

Gotta tell ya, I absolutely love this game! It's blowing my mind how tiny and insignificant it all is for us... Thanks for this amazing creation. I look forward to future updates!

Hey, Just one more thing I noticed when playing: The star browser is a filthy liar. When searching and using the filters, it said that this one star system had two planets with life. Upon travelling to that system and clicking all of the planets, it says that NONE of them have life!

What's going on here? surprised
