Sol orbital overlay

| It would be useful if there were a button or other feature that overlays the orbits of the sun's planets around the selected star.
That way, easy comparison between the solar system and other systems is possible. Especially for people who haven't memorised the semi-major axes of all the planets in the solar system and therefore don't know how, say, a 60 AU orbit relates to objects in the solar system. It would also be a handy way of getting a sense of scale for red supergiants.
If no star or planet is selected, I guess it would default to overlaying onto the barycentre. the orbits of all eight planets would be included, plus possibly the solar radius (to compare the sun's size to similar stars).

| Seems like this would be used by very few people. Many of these niche suggestions would be something a mod maker in the future should do, not be officially added into the program. The cost of coding things like this far outweighs the benefits of having it.

| True, it is a niche-appeal idea, but I can see it having a lot of educational value.

| While I don't think this idea is particularly niche (I would get a lot of use out of it, for one), the fact that in idea is niche doesn't necessarily exclude it from being valuable if it's easy to implement. Particularly when there already many features within spaceengine which I doubt many people use (fish eye lens and cubemap to name a couple).
I don't know much about the inner workings of spaceengine, but I doubt being able to overlay the orbits of the solar system in a different colour would be an exceedingly difficult task.

| I planning to implement completely different system for comparing object, not only be size, but by mass and other parameters. A sort of chart, where you can not only line up selected objects, but say replace gas giant satellite with Earth or other planet. The system would be universal and allows to compare different kind of objects, say star, moon orbit and comet tail.
