I would love to see the twinkling/shimmering effect on some distant stars -as observed when looking at the stars in the real world- to be simulated in Space Engine. I believe this would really enhance the beauty of starry skies on planets (and in outer space too, of course)
Anyway, I should note: as long as SE is a scientifically accurate Universe simulator, then one day it will implement ALL space objects and phenomenon that are known to modern astronomy. So you may not bother yourself with questions like "will SE one day have meteor rain implemented". I guarantee that it WILL.
I think it would be pretty easy to add this suggestion.
It would not be as easy to add as you might think, and it would also be useless 99% of the time since stars only twinkle when viewed through a relatively thick atmosphere. Most of the time spent in SE is in vacuum or some other thin-aired environment.
