When u get down the the surface of a planet. its hard to stick to the ground. Mabye in the next updates. There can be a walk mode. a mode where u stick to ground level. and also there is a thing that tell's you how close u are to the surface. you could also be able to edit ur walk speed. so if u could run around what ever world. at the speed of light.

Step 1: Go to the surface.
Step 2: Press 'end' to level with the horizon.
Step 3: Hold down 'F' while moving around.
Step 4: Enjoy your hike!

EDIT: On second thought, perhaps we could have a "hiking mode", where you're pulled to the surface at a speed depending on the planets gravity and atmospheric pressure. It could activate automatically when you descend to ten meters, and "R" can make you jump (again, the crest of the jump depends on gravity.) To get out, you simply go back to any of the other modes, and the engine shoots you up 50 meters off the ground.

As long as you don't mind being 40 feet tall, this could be a good feature to add to the engine.

Careful. The PLATT Collective has spurs.

Or just point a bit towards the ground to keep you there. Or use airplane mode and let gravity keep you on the ground.

Space Engineer did show some ground based models that he was testing out (not present in the current version, AFAIK), so we could see a ground mode or something.

You'd have to be a few kilometers up to keep from smacking into the landscape with the way things work currently. Besides, your computer would crash from trying to load everything.
