| A changing splash text at SpaceEngine Main Menu could be a good addition in a future update. It could bring a "live" feeling to the game.
Minecraft has used a similar feature. Allow me to demonstrate:
Notice the changing text?
This shouldn't be too hard to implement.
If implemented into SE, it could contain short, useful hints about SE and maybe some references to other games (SPAAAAACE!), movies and books.
It could be a small box in Main Menu, and if implemented well, it wouldn't seem like copying.
The community here could help gather a substantial amount of short splash texts, so SpaceEngineer wouldn't have to invent them all by himself.

| Too memetic, I guess, how about some citations about space exploration? It's like in some WW2 FPS, when you die, some citation about war appears. http://patrickmylund.com/blog/call-of-duty-war-quotes/

I prefer the Minecraftian way, tbh.

| Quote (anonymousgamer) I prefer the Minecraftian way, tbh. Me too. The quotes in CoD actually got really annoying, but a small splash text in the Main Menu wouldn't "get in your face" that much.
If implemented well, it wouldn't be too similar to Minecraft. Also, it would be just incredibly amazing to see something like "42" or "To infinity and beyond!" appearing randomly in the Main Menu.

There are many ways in which this feature could be utilized, and I think it would add a lot to the menu environment. Not a critical thing to develop, but certainly worth considering in my opinion.
