Perhaps this is a design and I just don't know how to do it, but whenever time is on, the planets are moving very fast in orbit around their suns. So fast, that I can't even land on them or observe them. Is there a way to synchronize and orbit around a planet?

Shift-F and Shift-R, or just go to land with G or Shift-G.
