I was looking through the gallery today (added a couple),
you have a really good eye for artistic design Vova. I
know design (since I'm an artist) and some of them are
gorgeous.

The two I added you might like to remove, since they have
hud information on them.

I was wondering about that actually, is there a way to disable HUD temporarily in order to take screenshots? Nice screenshots in the gallery by the way.

Yeh good point, I was wondering that too. You can deselect an object
but there is still text on screen.

In the pinned topic of this subforum, the game's developer states that hitting tilde (~) will toggle various aspects of the UI. This is how you turn it off.

~ turns off the GUI. If you do not have the ~ key, you can turn off GUI in the user.cfg file:

GUIMode 2 // text info mode

Change it to:
0 - off
1 - brief
2 - detail (with FPS counter and loading string at the bottom)

Just an update: that the default key combination to toggle the GUI HUD is "Ctrl ~"

"~" by itself will bring up the Console.

This is in SpaceEngine 0.97

alfski, why did you post on an irrelevant thread from 2 years ago? Other places already have updated information.

Or you could just press F11, which automatically takes screenshots without the HUD.

Also, why did you dig up a 2 year old thread?

He wasn't talking in the context of screenshots though.

True, but this is a thread about taking screenshots, so I just assumed that he wanted to help, without realizing this is a very old thread.
