Planet texture problem

Ok i just got this. and my planets are all white. no textures. well i got a ati radeon 4200 graphics card .

amd athlon™II X2 Processor with 3.00 GHz

and 4.75 gigs of memory.

is there any way to fix this?

Did you try restarting the program? If it's a consistent problem, post your se.log file so we can see what the problem might be.

kurtx, you have only 112 Mb of free video memory. Try closing all other applications before running SpaceEngine. But I guess your Radeon 4200 has only 128 Mb of VRAM... It is too low for SpaceEngine sad

i fixed texture problem. but now there is no landscapes. like craters mountains. and it crashes when im close to planet

Like SpaceEngineer said, the problem is likely that your graphics card is below the minimum specification to run SpaceEngine. You may be able to run the program, but only if many of the graphics options are turned down or off. And 112 MB of VRAM is not going to be enough to store planet landscapes regardless of whether you set your graphics options down or not.
You probably will only be able to visit planets if you stay far away from them. You should also go into the menu and turn off Procedural Stars. That should help the program run better, but you will only be able to see stars in SpaceEngine's catalogs (still over 100,000 stars wink )
Unfortunately SpaceEngine is a very graphics-intensive program and not all computers can run it to its fullest potential. Sorry for your trouble friend sad

i fixed it some how. i can get very close to planets but they have no mountains or any thing. and i dount crash. i also found these

kurtx, to free some memory you can press F4 and disable the "Procedural stars" and "Procedural planets", leaving "Procedural planets for catalog stars" enabled. To see mountains, go to another solar system and find planets there (in our Solar system planets have very limited level of detail - according to the small size of installation 400 Mb).

other planets in most diff solar systems have no textures.

OK i reinstalled it and crap. but now if i approach a galaxy i get up to 1 fps. and it dosent go away untill i leave that galaxy.

I would love to play this.

hi again

i still experience Error disposing memory with planets such as jupiter, mercury, earth & so...
when i approach too much or try to land on I get black flickering and TONS of messages in SE.log saying :

if i force a static value with no detection, problem is worse.
i don't understand my problem.

+ i'm using the last drivers from AMD (12.4 then 12.8) on an XP 64 OS.
+ i got an ATI HD5670 with 1GB
+ i got an Intel E8500 with P5Q deluxe MB, with 2GB RAM
+ everything is running fine everywhere else, for any kind of game.

i tried different tricks on other posts, such as lowering the LOD, deactivating 3D water, using only dots instead of sprites, well nothing seems to work completely. i can approach a bit more of jupiter, with some parts in black, but for earth nothing to do more.

do i have to change my GPU & my CPU & to buy 4GB RAM ?
+ processexp shows that SE uses only 360MB RAM.
+ MSI afterburner shows that i'm using only 361MB of VRAM (on 401 max, instead of 1024, but i don't care too much, ATI VRAM monitoring is known to be buggy)

maybe the problem resides on my whole system ?
Please can somebody tell me if I am outdated or not ?
