I have a laptop (ASUS K53E) with these specs: Intel Core i5 - 2450M. 2.5HGhz, 4GB RAM, can it run it or am i doomed? On start up it says "error loading texture generator shaders", when I choose to run it anyway it just crashes.

Be aware that your laptop has integrated graphics. SpaceEngine doesn't work too well with that. In any case try to update your drivers using Intel's automatic update tool, you can find it on their website. You may have some luck with that.

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.2 Ghz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SuperSC ACX 2.0+
RAM: 16 Gb Kingston HyperX 2400
Mobo: Asrock Z170 Gaming K4
Storage: 1 x 250 Gb Samsung SSD. 2 x 500 Gb HDD

Try the config I tweaked to optimize SE for Intel HD/Integrated graphics.
http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/4-2716-1

You will notice much smoother performance at miminal cost to the visual integrity of SE.

I hope it helps.

AMD FX-8320 8 core @4.0ghz , AMD R9 290 4GB, 8GB DDR3 @1866mhz, 1TB Hard Drive

My SE keeps crashing since I downloaded the official addons - keep getting the warning message "your AMD graphic display has recovered" whether my add-on files are corrupted or my AMD driver needs updating I don't know. Also planets outside the solar system don't have the level of detail featured in some SE members screenshots sad Really enjoy this game but cannot overcome some of my graphics issues and crashes - "space engine has encountered a problem and needs to close" Have anAMD graphics card redeon HD 7310M I think I have l driver 9.12.0 is it worth updating the driver to driver 14? If so are there any risks? I am relitvely new to computers and still learning . I have considered a dedicated graphics card to overcome my graphics issues- sorry don't know how to save images as attachments wacko
