| I'm running SE on a fairly old computer, so I've turned the settings way down. I've also slowed down my approach by setting the FastGoToTime, LongGoToTime, and RealTime settings in the config files. This way when I approach a star or planet it goes slowly enough to give it time to load the textures.
However, no matter how slow I go, when I approach a black hole, the game freezes for about 15-20 seconds, and then the black hole just pops into existence. It's really jarring. Once it's loaded, I can go backwards and forwards and it will gently grow in size and I can watch the cool gravitational lensing as I dive into oblivion.
Does anyone know a way to make the loading faster or work better for black holes?
