I find that when I set this setting so 'super' it only switches when I get fairly close to a star, how close seems to depend on the brightness of the star, but even brighter (blue) stars only seem to switch from normal flares to super within a couple of AU or so.
Can someone tell me why this is, if there is anything I can do to change? Also, flares seem quite big on super with no way to change, is there anything I can do here?
Lastly, I dislike the way lens flares disappear as soon as the 'body' of the star is off screen, is there anything changeable here? Even if it is unrealistic... I just don't like the way flares pop on and off instantly when looking towards then slightly off screen of the star. It'd be cool if the edge of the flare was still visible as if it was rendered even when the 'body' of the star has moved over the boundary of the screen! it would be a little less intrusive & more transitional....
Thanks, much appreciated! Sorry if I have overlooked any settings that'd solve these issues.
