I don't see much of a difference.
Have you fiddled with the files? Have you installed any galaxy models?

I can't think of much else.

Spaceman7456, this is normal behavior for the dust sprites from varying distance if imposters/FB are checked under graphics menu (Ctrl+F4). If you uncheck them then they will remain more crisp from outside the galaxy, but at a cost of framerate.

Guys, from his (terrible and low-res) screenshots, it's clear that he IS having a legitimate non-normal issue.

Spaceman7456, while I can (barely) see what you're talking about, you gave us little information with which we might be able to help you. Your screenshots are of terrible quality and resolution. Use F11 to take screenshots in SE, they are saved to the screenshots folder. You can change the file format they save in in config/main.cfg. Also, please upload your se.log file (in the folder called "system").

I thought the same at first as the second screenshot looked incredibly bad, but I did a bit of testing and found that for certain galaxies the dust sprites really do look like that from certain angles and distances. Also, depending on choice of graphics settings the sprites can suddenly become more blurry while approaching. I don't really understand it, myself, but I thought that might be what was going on here.
