| Hi everyone, I just discovered space engine and am amazed at what it can do. I tried an old games trick to try and boost the performance a bit and (for me at least) it worked very well. this will only work for computers with more than 2gb ram and a 64bit operating system
download and install cff explorer from their site (it's free) NT Core
backup the file SpaceEngine.exe in the Space Engine folder. run the program and use the file menu to open SpaceEngine.exe. in the left column click on file header in the nt header folder.
in the right panel click where it says click here in the bottom right. tick the App can handle >2Gb address space box, click ok. in the file menu at the top save the file and overwrite the original.

| And what does it give? Does SE work faster? I think it doesn't. In v0.95 I made new memory manager, that works with memory effectively and it never uses more than 1.5-1.8 Gb of RAM. So this hack should not help...
