Cinema Mode

Imagine being a film maker with the UNIVERSE at your finger tips. I am suggesting a mode called "Cinema Mode" where a virtual physical camera is used inside SpaceEngine to render what we see on screen.

This will feature things like focus with depth of field. Shutter speed and exposure and aperture values to get a very photographic experience.

Well sure thats nice but that could just be done with shaders and etc right? Well the other perk to this cinema mode is the "Animation timeline."

With the animation timeline the settings of the virtual camera can be keyframed and animated!
Imagine keframing a journey around a solar system. Or imagine keyframing the exposure values on a sun in a solar system.

It would essentially be a film making tool. To make beautiful animated keyframed camera movments in SpaceEngine.

Thanks so much!

You have offered absolutely no data on your reply... If this has been posted before can you please link me to the thread I cannot find it in the search. Or perhaps stop being so rude in my threads and actually be helpful and condusive to what I want to talk about when highlighting these possible new features.

All you have done frankly and please don't get all offended about it is act like an arrogant asshole in both.

The camera could even have a timelapse mode.

To answer the question, with the distances involved there's no way that Depth of Field will be once implemented. The distance are so great that with DoF effects being implemented, you'd hardly see any bokeh blur.

The "Animation Timeline" feature was requested numerous amounts of times, and one to be added when a certain amount of donations will be achieved. They will present as the form of visual scripts that will animate the camera and other various parameters, to create the animation you want.

Nobody is jumping on the new guy, the only issue here is not following simple directions. If you can't be bothered to follow the forum rules then this forum is not a place where you should be. The rules are simple and there for a reason.

aaronv2, All you have to do is to follow simple Rules. But go ahead, "chill" on Reddit and leave this "depressing Forum"

Thankyou to "SolarLiner" The ONLY member to actually answer the question concicely and also mentioned the feature had been requested multiple times. Had that reply been posted first I simply would have thanked him graciously and deleted my thread happy with the thought that the animation timeline is already in the works... excited... inspired.

Oh well, We can't change time can we.
