Making lens flare smaller

Is it possible to make lens flares smaller? I looked through the config files and was unable to find any setting.

Can they be made smaller or even larger if needed, I wish to reduce the size as it seems to be much too big.

Turn on auto-exposure, or reduce stars magnitude to limit it.
