| I am new to Space Engine and firstly must say it is fantastic software - better than anything I have seen to date in this genre. Celestia is interesting but this is superb - what one always hoped for with the advent of much higher spec computers.
Unfortunately I am having problems with planets. Some including Earth, the Moon, Mars etc are completely blank of textures just showing black. Some procedural planets with landscapes do show okay. I read your troubleshooting notes and tried a few things advised including adjusting some entries on the .cfg files. But nothing so far has worked. Also getting crashing sometimes but no error messages except usual "Windows has stopped working".
System is:
Dell XPS8300
Windows 7 Professional
Core i.3 processor
4GB memory
GeForce GT545
