| Who buy a videogame should play a new and original experience, but Call Of Duty is always the same sauce (since MF1), yeah, it's a pretty nice game, but is not competitive and it's made for mainstream...
It's easy, you change the plot, the campaign, then a few weapons and maps in multiplayer, and that's it! A new COD! That's why I don't like the series very much (I have just MF2 and that's enought for me), I know that they must keep more buyers as possible, but if you change a few things, you improve the system, you add new features, or just make an original story, well, you will get the same buyers as usual, maybe even more...
The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

| So a little story about these FPS in my past life. Not including Quake, of course, because its' a whole different story. And itt's very short, because otherwise I think I can speak about this for hours.
In 2008, I used to play CoD2, and later CoD4MW, which was favorable shooter with huge variety of mods, custom maps and customizable private servers. I never bought it, but we had several pirate servers, and even a championship in our city (scoring 3rd place with my team). That was a fun time, and I have a collection of ~20 movies made in our community.
I was going to buy CoDMW2, when they announced that there will be no mods. So later I pirated that game, and in 2011 there was a "free" multiplayer client to play with, which was pretty fun too. BO campaign left a severe delirium aftertaste, so it was last CoD game I ever put my eyes on.
BF2 used to be great too. I can remember about 4 good mods we tried out in our little community, as well as several iterations of updates, although there wasn't many players in the net. And we filmed movies too. An so I bought BF3 - it was a breakthrough. And there was a CQB addon - I played it with a poker face. Armored kill was great as well, but I was feeling the lack of fun already. Aftermath totally killed it for me - I'm not going to buy BF product again and I don't see a purpose in awaiting for something good.
I'm.. not going to talk about CS, because it seems to be very different with Valve, more or less like Q3, but.. the last game was CSS of course - not shiny CSGO. I'm not making same mistake again.
Luckily, hope did not leave this world.

| Well, the PS4 is hours away, so which console are you getting? Xbox One or PS4? I am getting- neither actually. I am already very happy with my PC. But if I really had to choose, I would choose the Xbox One. And I am not a fanboy nor insane, but really it has much, much better launch titles than the PS4.

| Quote DeathStar ( ) But if I really had to choose, I would choose the Xbox One. Xbox One is a catastrophe. Massive day one update required to get most online functionality, internet connection required, restrictions on reselling and trading used games (unless they did a 180 on that too, like with some other awful features they had planned), among other problems that PS4 lacks.
I wouldn't buy either of them, because PC, nor could I pick one to buy if I had to because I really don't like consoles.

As I said, I am getting neither because I am a PC gamer and have been a PC gamer since 2004, my last console being the PS2 which was awesome nevertheless.
Actually, the PS4 also requires a day one patch. My 3 main problems with the Xbox One are:
1. Trading/Reselling games, as you said. I personally live in a country with a quite dire economic situation, so spending 50$ every time on a game is not really desirable. I remember, back in the early 2000 you could literally buy used games for as low as a few bucks (I am not even kidding), so it was much less intensive on the wallet than now. Now, I guess that wont be the case with the Xbox One
2. The constant internet connection that is required, as you said. I mean, seriously. Why would you need constant internet connection to play a single player game?
3. That kinect that is pushing the price of the console up to 500$. Sure, it has some nice features, but why are they literally shoving it down out throat? It could be an optional peripheral that you could buy if you want to, but not a mandatory feature that many will probably never use and that raises the price by 100$

| Salvo that looks really good! Is that a free game? I'd definetely play it!
So sad that apparently the release is ages ahead and it has already been in development for so long without being released for a demo
I will be inactive on this forum for the time being. Might come back eventually

Yeah, they was developing a game called Infinity, but developing stopped, now they are starting again with this engine, "I-Novae Engine" that will be used to make the game "Infinity: Battlescape"
