| Blu3sman, you only need to tell us the place and time.
I really tried to deal with first of the missions, that introduced infantry fight, but that was unfortunate. So, at first, you and your 5 teammates are running into the battlefield, screaming Hollywood movie lines all the way until you run into first, no, second contact. Then THIS happens. On elite difficulty you can only survive first group of enemies (of 2 or 3 soldiers), but second will finish you up with 95% possibility, and your squad gets eradicated by LMG. On Veteran you can survive two groups of enemies, possibly, but then close contact happens and you die, because enemy can see through grass and your "teammates" are not going to cover you under fire. Field planning is terrible, and your group just wanders in the bushes until it is finished.
Sure I can tweak all these little features to finish the mission, and I'll do so, but that will by the other time. Therefore, it is better to go to cooperative or PvP, because single player generally sucks.

| Yes, mission design in this showcase could have been better. Assaulting a village covered by mortar with 5 men is a bit.. ambitious, to say the least. Same for Rambo-diver mission. Anyway, playing with people is the right way. If someone is interested and wants to try the free version (launches today), feel free to ask me for invite.

| I recall an idea one time about putting together a Planetside 2 outfit. I just got PS2 and started playing. Does anyone else still play, and is anyone up for putting a team together?

| I have it installed, but I'm so horribly bad at it, I pretty much never play. :P I am willing to give it a try though.

| Quote (Tim) I have it installed, but I'm so horribly bad at it, I pretty much never play I was that way too at first, but then I played a little bit more and now I really like it. You just have to figure out your own play style and learn how everything works. It can be hard at first since there is no tutorial or training and there is so much going on with no explanations. But it gets better.

| I was that guy, but I've been real busy, and haven't had as much time for something like ps2, and even joined another outfit myself. Also, two people need to be on the same server to be in the same outfit, which creates problems with an international community who would naturally want to register on their own servers. There's double XP this weekend for Easter, so I might get on to check out some of the updates to the game since I last played.
( since the merge I'm on waterson server )

I would if the game wasn't so horribly optimized. The game hates my laptop; the game's shadowing doesn't work and the GPU load drops when it should be increasing (i.e. in a base) probably because of massive CPU usage and therefore makes the game nearly unplayable. I still have the game installed, I hope there's going to be a worthwhile patch someday.
What bugs me more is how much better BF3 runs, when I would be expecting that to take up more resources.

| Maybe we should start a SpaceEngine clan, or whatever they call them in PS2. I would join, I'd get better after a while :P
