To any Homeworld fans out there (or anyone who just wants to see a Homeworld 3), please consider donating to this campaign to acquire the Homeworld IP when it is auctioned by THQ (this could happen any day now). Success here would mean that Homeworld would be in the hands of people who actually care about it, and who will continue the development of this classic and beloved series.

I don't know what game to play anymore.. I'm bored to death momentarily. I've stopped playing LoL, SimCity4 and whatever I was playing. I've played WoW for ~2months (My bro was paying it for me) and have cancelled the subscription just now, it's way too boring.

Any suggestions?

TIE Fighter. Best spaceflight combat sim ever made, and had a great music system too. Good old DOS games... smile

Really anything on this list I'd suggest: http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/23-995-10085-16-1346305794

Hmm.. I'm not sure if I'm up to playing adventure/rpg games again. I'm craving for sandboxes right now.

The mention of sandboxes just gave me an idea - I should probably play Minecraft. I haven't played it at all after a 15 hour marathon, after I finally managed to buy it back in 2010.

Star Wars.. Maybe I should watch the movies first before entering the SW universe? I was too young to understand them back when I watched them (a long time ago). I quit watching tv 4 years ago. closedeyes

You've... never really watched Star Wars?! This is unacceptable! You must watch the original trilogy RIGHT NOW!!!

The best parts of the Star Wars universe definitely lay outside of the films, but still, they're classics smile

Search for the Despecialized editions of the Original Trilogy, and watch these (torrent them). Lucasfilm allows fanedits, so technically, it's totally fine since the Despecialized editions are indeed fanedits- they're edited to look like the original films. It's the best you'll get if you want what is truly Star Wars.

After doing this, I suppose it's fine to look at other star wars stuff. Not before, but after. Don't pay for a blu-ray disk loaded with the crap Lucas keeps piling onto the original films- it's like Da Vinci taking back the Mona Lisa a decade after painting it, and scribbling all over it with a giant permanent black marker.

EDIT: Okay, it's not that they necessarily allow or disallow fan edits, but they don't really bother people about it at this point. Now, this could change since Disney now owns Lucasfilm, so hurry up!

EDIT 2:

No. Wrong. Sorry. The Original Trilogy is the best part of the Star Wars universe. This isn't opinion. It's literally fact. 10/10 scientists will agree. There's been a million books, videogames, and other merchandising, but really, there's no comparison. The fact that the OT are classic films only adds to their importance.

Really though, he should release the originals already...

Needs to avoid all the post 2004 stuff and see the originals. Hell I may even go as far as avoiding those 1990s releases.

Play Rigs or Rods, it's had that for years.

Also play Burnout Paradise or Racedriver GRiD. All of these have deforming cars.

I'm quite sure the team working to bring these physics to cars in CryEngine 3 are related to the team behind Rigs of Rods.

GTA 4 does it too, though not nearly as nice.

Um, no... You don't seem to have much experience with the Star Wars EU.
