| This is no interview, It's a brief "resume" of the interview in the video i've posted. Again, the dude believe ufo could exist, he haven't saw any of them but he read about them in newspaper and local rumors, so he made his pic as a joke, end of this story. And about belgian wave , honestly I don't care at all ( no offence huh ) All of this is about suposition and so called observation. I do believe we are not alone in the universe, and we surely are not be the only intelligent being in it. But until there is a clear and indisputable evidence of Ufo flying around on earth, it's only supposition . Personaly I don't think that earth has ever being visited by any of them.

| Quote DoctorOfSpace So now that the thread has gone all over the place on this topic of UFOs how about we go onto Ancient Aliens? That show has provided me hours of entertainment. While it has many sound points, some of the theories are just ridiculous and it boils down to this: $IMAGE1$ I myself believe that aliens have visited us in the past.

Its possible and people are looking into our genes to try and find a marker.

| Quote (DoctorOfSpace) Its possible and people are looking into our genes to try and find a marker. Well i don't think that the aliens would have anything to do with our genes. My guess is that they would have just flown about and taken samples. But that's just my theory.

Perhaps or perhaps a few million years ago some aliens visited and found life was developing towards some form of intelligence and they left a marker in our DNA. Its all highly speculative but interesting nonetheless.

| Quote (HarbingerDawn) I don't dispute that it's possible, but why do you believe that? I just think that if there are intelligent aliens out there then there is a possibility that they have found our little planet and maybe studied our species in order to adapt their ways of communication to make contact with us. I didn't mean that i believe in that as truth but as a possibility. I just like to think that there are extraterrastials out there that are aware of us
Edit: Quote (DoctorOfSpace) Perhaps or perhaps a few million years ago some aliens visited and found life was developing towards some form of intelligence and they left a marker in our DNA. Those would be some pretty determined aliens because altering the DNA of a whole species would be pretty hard work

| Quote (j0KeR) What makes you say that, do you really feel so alone ? Did you ever think that all these maybe a test one that probably we wont get an answer to , its a little more theological question rather being on topic but i was wondering.
Guys there are many things that cant or wont be explained but i know one thing imho you should focus your mind in one thing at a time trying to explain and interpret many unexplained phenomena will get you lost and you wont know whats truth and whats not, im not saying that you shouldn't seek for the truth quite the contrary but too much information is useless.
Why should I feel alone for not believing in god?. I don't see any proof of even the slightest evidence of the existence of god. Who or what ever created this universe is no longer with us, in the case this is the only universe which I don't know.
People die every day, people suffer and a lot of people do evil on this planet. Where is that god to prevent all of that?. Even if there was one, then what's the real purpose for him/it?, Is he a voyeur who enjoys seeing how his creations die and suffer?. Think about it.
Maybe this is just one reality and others on another dimension-reality-call it what ever you want, are just there watching and studying us. To be honest, I don't know.
But the good thing is, science improves all the time and 150 years ago we couldn't even understand what electricity is and now we are discovering all kind of new particles and physics. So I hope in the end we'll find the answer.

Actually its not about altering all the DNA. If you look at humans alone over 98% of our entire DNA is left over junk. All that non used DNA could be used to store a message that would never be used by the animal but if that animal ever evolves into intelligence and they read the DNA they might discover it.
Thats the whole point of genomic SETI.

It's possible, but when we relate our DNA to the DNA of other species we include that information as well and we can still see the relationships and correlations as if only natural changes had occured, so if any of our genetic code, even the junk portions, were altered, it isn't readily apparent. If you were trying to leave a message, you would want to make it unambiguous and easy to find. If anyone visited Earth in the ancient past, I seriously doubt that subtly altering the DNA of every individual in an entire species or genus was on their agenda. If they wanted to send a message when we reached a certain point of technological achievement or cultural development, it would probably come in some other form, like an artifact. It could be a monolith on the Moon, it could be a probe in distant Solar orbit analyzing our transmissions and waiting to reply, or it could be something completely different. But I think that if they were waiting for us to reach a certain point to contact us that they would not have altered our genome or interfered with our development or biosphere in any way. Interference runs counter to the idea of waiting for us to develop to a point where they would be willing to contact us.

Putting a small line of edited genetic material into a species or a few species in the far past would not be counter to the idea of waiting. That would simply let a species in the future, if intelligence arises, know that they are not alone. It doesn't have to be direct genetic engineering.

Those comparisons are simply DNA of 2 species being put through a pattern recognition program that shows whats the same and whats different. It does not list the function or use of the sections of DNA.

HA! you're so reminding me myself years ago , i have been in the same position asking EXACTLY the same questions seeking answers that maybe dont have an answer or if they do we have yet to realise it , i was also discussing matters like these with other people and they were like "What the hell is wrong with him" haha but anyway you get the picture. For myself i have come to a conclusion and i believe it is simple as that nobody is here to stay here forever and when the time comes i hope you will understand that not everything is just random (talking from experience here) and of course there is evil around the world and it wont stop but there is also the good things beautiful things in life that if you refuse because you believe the world is just plain evil then you will never experience them
P.s im not trying to convince you that THERE is a god , you have your own opinion on this matter and nobody could change that but try to think the things i said above nothing more ;p

Looks like a rock to me. Abnormal rock structures are pretty common. And yeah I know Buzz Aldrin mentioned it.
And with the way jtmedina keeps bringing up god its like he is trying to start an argument. Can we please refrain from bringing religion into any of this, I don't think it has any place here and always ends in fighting.
