I have installed Chrome, but I usually always run with Internet Explorer 9 when I have a choice. Chrome is only used for Google's super-special things. I do use Safari as well, but I have no choice when going onto my iPad (Yes, I do use it even though Apple is one of my least favorite things)
Also, can someone explain to me what this "Opera" browser is?
I'm back, but am I here to stay? Hopefully!

It's another web browser, and would probably be my second choice after Firefox. It's quite popular in Russia and elsewhere in Eastern Europe.
Also... why on Earth would you actually PREFER IE?

You can check the Wikipedia page for a quick introduction.
In the 90's its edge in my opinion was that it was fast and light-weight. It was also by far more correct (which also made some pages look bad if they were, and they often were, written to look good in other bug infested browsers). I liked it and I gladly paid for the ad-free version. It was in my mind the best browser at the time by far. Later I think Opera got as bloated as anything else, but at least the features were nice. More recently I've been using Opera Mini on mobile phones since it compresses images making pages load faster and lowering the phone bill, but I rarely use it now since I have wifi available where I am most of the time and the prices for data traffic have dropped a lot.

| I use Chrome. For me, it "flows" well and the controls are very nice. My one complaint is the resources it takes up with its stupid amount of processes.
All you need in life are space games and typhlosions.

| I'm pretty much torn between Explorer and Firefox, both of which I use regularly. I'm not sure I could choose between them; they both have an enormous list of positives and negatives that don't seem to overlap very often. I might end up going with Firefox for the scripting support and generally smoother experience, even though some things just wouldn't work as well.

| I was an assiduous Firefox user until my PC has broken, then, when I've started to use my mom's PC (that had Chrome installed, and didn't let me install any more programs) I was "forced" to switch to Chrome.
When I've bought the new PC I first installed Chrome because of Google (yeah, it's very annoying the message that keep saying to install Chrome), but I've discovered something weird... I was already logged in all my sites, I had all my passwords saved, and all my wonderful bookmarks.
That day I've definitely switched to Chrome, even if I agree with HarbingerDawn for what concerns the number of processes...
