Anyone else hate Micro USB

I don't think there is a single piece of hardware that has caused me more problems than MicroUSB. It easily bends. It makes a poor connection with the socket. Overall, it's a cheap piece of trash that lasts about a month on average. I've seen people having entire conversations with electronic store clerks about how much Micro USB sucks.

I just want to know: Why? Who? Why does MicroUSB exist? Who thought MicroUSB was a good candidate for being made the standard port for all small electronic devices? I wish I could give a piece of my mind to whoever is behind all of this.

Does anyone have any experiences with MicroUSB that they'd like to share? Has anyone had the opposite experience that I have had?

Tonight... you.

IDK, I've had a micro USB phone for 3+years ... no problems. Never abused it.

*shrug* I've owned and used many of them for years (phone, cameras, headphones, etc). Have yet to have a single problem with them. I have no idea what you mean about them making a poor connection or bending too easily.

It's for small things. Do you prefer to charge your phone this way instead?:

I like the smaller plugs, great for travel and hooking up when you want to use your phone in bed. My only complaint about micro USB is how slow it charges my battery, this is my own fault though since I always buy the largest capacity extended battery I can get.

I really dislike how thin and flimsy portable electronics have gotten.

I've been using Micro USB for years, haven't yet had a single problem. Just be responsible and don't abuse your hardware and you won't have any issues.
