| Gabe, not impressed, as of yet. According to the novel, it's only just the prologue.

| I can't wait to see how Kirito will deal with things in GGO. Guns and swords are different things.

| It's ridiculously hot here in Surrey, BC, Canada so I went to a cool little water park to cool off. I forgot to put on sunscreen and at the end of the day I had absolutely no sunburns at all. My skin is extremely heat resistant. Is it possible for skin to be more heat resistant than other skin? Just curious.

| Gabe, Yes. Some types of skin are more resilient against sunburn than others. It mostly depends on the amount of melanin in your skin.

| It's also not resistance to heat, but resistance to radiation damage from ultraviolet rays.
Sunburns are literally radiation burns, and it causes damage on the genetic level. This is also why it increases your risk of developing skin-related cancers. Excessive suntanning is NOT safe on your skin, regardless of how good you think it makes you look.

| Quote Watsisname ( ) Excessive suntanning is NOT safe on your skin, And insufficient leads to D vitamin deficiency (which is bad for your bones). High latitude dwellers need to get some exposure in summer to refuel vitamin D. So as always, balance is a good thing.
