A big problem with many of the suggestions in the article, I think, is that they would mainly induce curiosity, especially among future archaeologists. The big uncomfortable stone monoliths chief among them. Yet I don't think leaving the facilities unmarked is an option either because of the possibility of people building a town on top of it, for example.
