I think Antza sent me this with the intention of killing me. I put one of the solid unbroken ones in my mouth and was immediately greeted with something that felt like burning. My mouth went into convulsions and then it cracked in two and I was forced to spit it out. Shortly after this my tongue went numb. Will definitely be sharing this with coworkers and family because they deserve to suffer as well.

You're exaggerating. These are ok if you have a soar throat. It wont cure it, but it might ease the soreness for a short while. These sweets also have another popular use, which the forum rules prevent me from going into.

DoctorOfSpace, you should try some Marabou chocolate wink There are several versions but this one is the most common (and the best!).

I have one in my mouth right now! Guess you get used to these after a while.

Literally like Red Bull only it has a much stronger flavor, smells nicer, and tastes much better. i wish they sold this stuff in the US. Anyone who likes Red Bull needs to get a can of this stuff.

Heh, in Finland, all the 11-16 year old kids buy and drink this stuff all the time, even though you have to be 15 to buy it.

In Finland, salmiakki is basically a part of the food pyramid it's so common.
It's fun seeing foreigners trying it. For me, it's delicious.
Actually, I've never seen any finn who didn't like salmiakki. biggrin

I will probably continue eating it though because I am a sick glutton for punishment.

...why would you eat charcoal to begin with? The only reason I've ever known people to use charcoal is for cooking, and perhaps writing on walls or something.

Charcoal is sometimes used to absorb toxins before the body can process them (e.g. extreme cases of alcohol poisoning). But the 'Yum' part of my post was sarcasm......

Yes, charcoal is something that should be in a domestic first aid kit. Its absorbing power also works in the mouth, so charcoal tablets are tough to swallow and you need a lot of them.
