| Someone's offering me a line on their T-mobile (USA) plan, and I'm between smartphones (a dreadful time in the life of a human being). I'm getting a Windows Phone 8 device. I'm sick of Android's carrier bloatware and sluggish performance, and I'm not getting an iPhone for a number of reasons.
I have a choice between the HTC 8X and Nokia 810. I believe I will be picking the 810 for its removable battery, side buttons that aren't flush with the sides of the phone, and expandable memory via micro SDHC. The only thing bothering me about it is the display- it's 800 by 480.
That's kind of small compared to 720p, or even 1136 by 640. It's the same size as the screens on the last generation of windows phones.
The screen matters to me since web browsing is one of the main things I do on my phone. What will I do? Someone snap me out of this.
...and I don't mind the 810's "generic" design. I actually really like it.
