| Quote Destructor1701 ( ![Link to the quoted text](http://en.spaceengine.org/button/lastpost.gif) ) Is anyone else seeing the Earthrise animation with horizontal black bars through it? Yes, that's due to how the camera works. Read about it here: http://www.nasa.gov/content/goddard/lro-view-of-earth/#.U2r4nlcYong

| Yeah, that's pretty cool, like an RGB slit-scanner camera or something. Added (10.05.2014, 01:14) --------------------------------------------- Redditor JimJoeBob had this beautiful but saddening thought:
Quote Every human being that has ever lived and is alive today is in that photograph.
That is so many orders of magnitude of cool.....

| That's no moon eclipse. It's just testing out its cloaking technology.

| A recent shot from Chang'e 5-T1, which is flying back to cislunar space. I edited the image to improve color and brightness levels.

| I was wondering:
Is the green and red band of airglow going to be added to Space Engine?

| Quote FastFourierTransform ( ![Link to the quoted text](http://en.spaceengine.org/button/lastpost.gif) ) Is the green and red band of airglow going to be added to Space Engine? Quote SpaceEngineer ( ![Link to the quoted text](http://en.spaceengine.org/button/lastpost.gif) ) Anyway, I should note: as long as SE is a scientifically accurate Universe simulator, then one day it will implement ALL space objects and phenomenon that are known to modern astronomy. So you may not bother yourself with questions like "will SE one day have meteor rain implemented". I guarantee that it WILL.

| First full-Earth image, taken from the ATS-3 satellite in 1967
I reprocessed the Blue Marble (color work was done a few years ago, when I was less experienced, so it's imperfect)
