| Hello all,
Vladimir, could you enlighten us, how to produce a custom planetary global texture set derived from e.g. cylindrical projection maps (2:1) like they can be found here? I would love to give it a go and create a new lunar (our Moon) texture set from a different base map (one that looks more real colorwise, the current textures of the Moon in SE looks too yellowish/greenish to me). I wanted to create a new surface texture from Jens Meyer's map.
How can we create the surface tiles from a cylindrical projection global map?
Thanks a lot!

| I made special software to do such conversions. You can download it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cubemap/files/
The archive includes a detailed readme. Someday I will update this tool (or will embed it into SpaceEngine) and will write a detailed manual.
