| Hi I'm new to using this SpaceEngine software, I'd like to know how to get to grips with building a solar system from scratch because I can't really follow the information provided on the forum on my inquiry.
Even better if someone could send me a copy of the files I need and what it needs to have in them as a template.

| SE is not open source. As for how to make a system from scratch, the information in the sticky threads should be everything you need to know. I don't know how you can be helped unless you have specific questions.
And there are no files you need, nor is there any "template" that could be provided that isn't already on your computer. Just look at the catalogs that come with SE for examples. Anything that someone could provide for you would look just the same.

| Did you see the planet creation thread? I'm guessing that's the one you had trouble following, but in case you didn't, that's a good place to read.
A good way to see how the files work is to look around in Catalogs/planets/SolarSys.sc. (with notepad or just about any text editor) You can see how our own Solar System works in the SE files, and by editing the various planets it's easy to get an idea of how stuff works (don't forget to backup before you start). It also provides a ready template for making new solar systems.
To make any new sc files you create actually work, you need to add them in config/universe.cfg under the planet catalogs.
