I looked and the cartwheel galaxy isn't in 0.97 and while M106 does exist, I didn't check if it's the model made by Solaris. Most likely is.

Solaris galaxies are also made to 0.97?

It's a part of the Eagle Nebula though, I don't know how fine the detail would have to be for it to show up.

My NGC 2217 doesn't have side arms cry sad :

And, yes, before you ask, I have deleted cash folder after install. I also double-checked that all texture files have been copied to textures/galaxies folder.

smjjames, SpaceEngineer actually made a post with the eagle nebula & pillars of creation in early development of 0.97. But he said it would kill everyone's computers.

No. They was made in a separate prototype app. They will be moved into SE eventually. Maybe in the next patch I will implement automatic grouping of intersecting nebulae into a single VBO, so their sprites will blend correctly. So it will be possible to create a complex models, like M16 with pillars.

Theres an error on the helix nebula's coordinates. the declination is -20, not 20

I have corrected this and the code is below

  RA       22 29 38.55
  Dec      -20 50 13.6
  Dist     213
  Radius   2.1

Some updates :

♦ NGC 2217 now works (I have made a typing error, so the small texture was named NGC2217small instead of NGC2217_small).
♦ Tweaked Rho Ophiuchi Nebula to make it less memory consuming.
♦ Correction to Helix Nebula catalog (thanks to ZackG), more realistic 3D model (thanks to Duke).
♦ Added 2 new models.

I think you'll found what you are searching for here : .

I've got more than 20 models on my ToDo list, a lot of time is needed to finish it.

Voekoevaka, do you tried to use a method "Spherical" for the Homunculus nebula? Look at the NGC 6720 for reference. it is more useful for cylindrical-symmetric objects.
