Hi everyone, I'm new here I'm a big fan of galaxies, and I juste wanted to suggest two that I particurarly like: NGC 5474, an asymetric dwarf spiral, close to another famous asymetric galaxy (M 101) and NGC 4414, a really beautiful one. I tried to make them myself, but I'm not skilled enough to delete the stars from the picture and to make a descent "sys" texture. Here is what I already did if you want to use them as basis: -NGC 4414

-NGC 5474

I know it is probably difficult, but if you could, maybe by using the same way than for nebulae, make a 3D rendition of the Magellanic clouds, or at least something close, than their actual flat render:
Anyway I love what you already done, really nice job!
Voekoevaka, with your permissions, new galaxy and nebulae models will be added in 0.9.7.1. But firstly here are some notes about models:
1) Script parameter SpriteObliquityZ is removed from the engine and thus not necessary in the scripts. Parameters clipRadius, sumColor, sumBright and maxBright are used only by nebulae models, and must not be in the galaxy models scripts.
2) Sys textures might be in JPG format to save disk space. These textures are only used by procedural generator, they are not rendered, so compression artifacts is not bad thing.
3) Centaurus A (Harbinger Edition) is too bright (I used emParticleBrightnessCenter 0.4) and have square shaped dust pattern.
4) NGC4314sys.png must be renamed to NGC4314_sys.png - SpaceEngine didn't load it because of wrong name.
5) IC2184_small.png have some artifacts, I remade it from IC2184.png
6) Texture NGC6050C_small.png is missing, but NGC6050C.png is 128x128 itself. SE didn't render main texture if small one is not found, and didn't generate sprites without small texture. Solution is duplicate the NGC6050C.png texture and rename in to NGC6050C_small.png
7) NGC 1345, NGC 2217 have too small sprites (leading to very dark model and strong grid pattern effect) and too poor dust mask in alpha channel. You must blur a bit the dust map to make it less noisy.
8) NGC 4314 - too dark disk.
9) Arp 148's disk looks too "blobby".
10) NGC 4459 - too dark bulge, no dust sprites generated (wrong absParticleColor?). Ideally would be to clear the disk texture off bulge influence in some way. The galaxy itself is flooded by nebulae, making FPS very low.
11) NGC 6745-1 have too thick disk. And it seems that this galaxy is tilted to angle of 30-40° to view ray, not flatwise.
12) Texture of NGC4676-1 have weird color and dust pattern, it must be upgraded.
13) Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex have too many sprites, I reduced emDetailR - absDetailZ. I renamed the nebula to "Antares Nebula/Rho Ophiuchi Nebula", so it can be found by both names. Also, Antares is 48 ps away from nebula... Maybe because it is a two different nebulae, Rho Oph is closer and Antares is farther?

Should I decrease the emParticleSize ?

I think I put too many red in the subsystems texture.

I think this is the consequence of the galaxy orientation bug. When I orient galaxies, I copy the exact value of the quat parameter to the catalog, and after restarting the program, the galaxy orientation have changed. Correcting the bou should correct the orientation of all interacting galaxies I made.

I talk about real galaxy, not SE bugs. In reality it looks tilted, but you made a texture like if it facing flatwise to the Earth. I suggest stretch the texture and make the galaxy more round-shaped, like M 31, and then choose the tilt angle to make it fit with photos.
