There is a game created in 2015 that was named Galaxy4D. I personally think it looks beautiful aswell.

It looks very cool, but a bit too cartoon-ish. I really like the rings though.

Love SpaceEngine!

The only cartoon-ish thing I see in that video is the moon they start out on. Everything else just looks like an early version of a SE-looking game.

Happy to see some people talking about Galaxy4D here I know this game since July 2015 now and the developpers are very cool guys! You can talk with them on the forum (they speak English and French so there is two differents forums) and are now working on the collision system, which isn't a simple task for two guys.
http://forum.galaxy4d.com/ This is the English forum and it's waiting to be filled, the French one was very active in the past but now is becoming quiet since we don't have much info about the game these days... But the dev's will give very soon infos and probably an early access to the game

I would prefer Milky Way. Hopefully, the project can reach its funding goal
Its Indiegogo campaign

Regardless of competition to SpaceEngine I think the more of these kinds of games the better. The more people who get interested in space the better.

I wonder why No Man's Sky hasn't been mentioned :P

Also, since I can't make a new thread for some reason, where can I find a more arcady way to fly a ship?

The flying in Space Engine seems a bit too serious and I'm in need of something where I can lay back and enjoy flying. Examples of the kind of flying I'm referring to is flying like in: Battlefield games, XPlane, Star Citizen, GTA, etc.
Is there a way I can acquire such control, or maybe with a mod?
