Converting cubemaps to cylindrical texture maps?

I know that there is a program we can use to convert cylindrical maps into cubemap-format maps but is there a way to do the reverse?

The main reason I ask is that I want to convert the cubemap "textures" from places like the Celestia Motherlode, or mods for Space Engine (I'll explain and ask a question about such shortly) to cylindrical textures that I can use in Universe Sandbox.

Now, about the SE mods, I know that if I use these maps or textures (Still not sure which to call them... :-/ ) for planets in Universe Sandbox, and then give simulation files to someone else, I'll have to give credit to those who made the map/texture but, am I even allowed to do what I'm asking?

Also, while I'm making a thread on the subject of maps/textures, I'd appreciate it if (If you are okay with doing so) you could post some Space Engine or other-sourced interesting maps/textures here for me to use, as I'm always looking for new planet surfaces to use in planetary systems in Universe Sandbox, and maybe (one day in the far, far future) in Space Engine to create my own mods.

Have you tried using the Glue.exe utility included with CubeMap yet?

I will be inactive on this forum for the time being. Might come back eventually

I haven't even gotten CubeMap yet as I thought it would only convert one way, but I suppose I can try.

Edit: I'm sorry, but I can't figure out how to even use this, and the readme and even Space Engineer's tutorial don't really make it click for me...
