I'd like to thank Space Engineer for adding such useful feature as skybox exporting. It allows me to get a beautifull background for a 3DS max animation without spending much time on drawing it. So, I had to do a total of three animations for my university projects. For the first one I used the skybox I made on a comfort terra:

For the second project I needed to create a part of lunar surface. I couldn't take a skybox from the surface of the actual Moon, so I had to fly to a procedural selena somewhere in a galaxy, take skybox from there and then add Earth to it from a different screenshot.

For the third video I chose a place in a polar region of a terra:

The issues I've encountered in process of making these videos:
First of all, I was unable to make a box-shaped skybox without seamless seams, so I had to make a single texture from those 6 that are exported and apply that to a spherical shape skybox.

I feel like this issue might be due to my insufficient knowledge of 3DS Max smile

The more serious issue is difference between picture in SE and on exported skyboxes. Let's say, I see something like this in SE:

What do I get on my skybox?

The change is significant and unacceptable, so I had to some photoshop until I got this:

What's the reason the change happens? SE does some post-processing while user is exploring universe, but ceases to do this during skybox export?

Anyway, despite all the aforementioned issues, the skybox exporting feature deserves much appreciation for making life easies for people working with 3D graphics. Thank you Space Engineer smile
