| Hello,
I love Space Engine but one of the reasons I don't start it up that often is that it makes me feel very uncomfortable at times. I have seen threads about unusual phobias like phobias of unilluminated planets or black holes etc. I am not scared of them, but they make me feel very uncomfortable, and that is caused by the camera in Go To command motion. The camera stops at a point when the object takes nearly whole screen. I already changed the speed of the movement in config file so it's slower and less intrusive, but it didn't help that much because it's inconvenient and it stops too late still. Is it possible to just make the camera stop when the object takes, let's say, 30% of the screen? Or at double the normal distance? I am sure this would solve my problem if I could look at the object from safe distance and get closer on my own, slowly.
Thank you very much!
Jakub

| You may make a hack: narrow the field of view to say 20° (by pressing the middle mouse button or Shift + left drag), then press G to start moving, then return the field of view back (by pressing the middle mouse button again). SE calculates the stop point distance to make object full the half of screen, as you note, but it also takes into account the current FOV at the time you pressing G key.
