Hi All,

Since there doesn't seem to be alot of community discussion here, cept to
ask mr SE questions. I figured might be a good idea to try n start some smile

So, What are you hoping to do, or learn in SE? What do you plan
to use it for, asisde from just touring.

One thing I want to know when the Orbital Mechanics are added, is
what effect that has on Interstellar travel over long distances, assuming
every Star / Solar System has mass.

So what's your thinking? Exploring new galaxies? Finding God in the void? lol wink

Hope there's lots of different view on it's use. smile

I'm really looking forward to when routes can be recorded, then followed kind of like a macro, with speeds that can be set manually.
At the moment the slow goto takes a long time to accelerate and deaccelerate when set to take a long time. I'd like to make a video of slowly accelerating away from the earth, with the only interface shown an indicator of speed (in some kind of layman measurement) until our whole galaxy, then universe is visible.
People need more perspective smile

Yeh that'd be great.. sort of like Celestia playbacks but with a quantum jump
in abilities n scale. Can't wait for that too.

Thing I love about SE is it opens up so many possibilities for development,
either from the developer, or the community (depending if he opens it
up for mods). Hell I could even see someone adding a game / sim
element into it, like Orbiter but Interstellar, n Intergalactic. Star Wars
in SE lol... drool....

Aside from that, there's so mcuh to learn from it. It reminds me
alot of Zaphod Beeblebroxs' experience in the Total Perspective
Vortex in the Sirius Cybernetic Reseach Facility (the home of
The Guide) wink

I hope alot of the ppl who see it mention it to their friends, be great
to see a real community develop around this. smile

I would like to create a recording system too. But I have no time for this just now... It is hard to develop it alone. Gameplay with spaceships is my next area of work, once the crashes are fixed and procedural galaxies are implemented.

Can't wait for gameplay. smile

Recording would be cool, but it could be done now with a video screen
capture program. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult for him to create
an option for toggle off the current hud for that process, but I wouldn't look
to it soon. smile

I hope to be able to take a vessel and simulate spaceflight such as earth to mars. And possibly setup a base there using modern or near-future ships. And from there explore further out into deep space. Or a shuttle launch to ISS. Or even just a simple spacewalk. Or recreate apollo moon landing. Or breaking the sound barrier
