Commercial use of SE footage?

I would just like to ask if it would be legally apropriate to use space engine footage in videos that may be commercialized?
- Like youtube's partner program for instance.

I hope this question doesn't come off as distasteful, as I'm simply trying to wrap my head around what I can, and cannot do with things on youtube - and don't in particular intend to seek commercial gain from SE.

Thanks!

It's not allowed unless you discuss it with Space Engineer himself.
If you're a Youtube partner, he may like the publicity biggrin

Commercial use of any assets from or made with SE is not allowed without Vladimir's permission. That said, I think he would be ok with it under most circumstances, so don't fear asking him smile

Would this also apply for using screenshots from SE in commercial publications? I was wondering if it was possible to use Space Engine to make the pictures for some Scifi RPG supplements I'm writing.

Again, you would have to ask the program creator and properly credit the program. If you do all of that, there should be no problem.

Thanks, I found his email address and sent him a note. I just found Space Engine and wow, its output is amazing.
