Sadly you are not the first. I don't know who is the first to post one, I posted one a few days ago in the image thread though.

Nice find however, I've only ever found one myself.

I'll definitely check that out. I found one randomly without actually looking for one. It was part of a binary system.

I found one a while ago that I posted about in the image dump thread. I think it was in an open cluster actually.

I don't think I've ever come across a neutron star via flying or by clicking around on stars (probably because they're so faint), but if you cruise around the universe map at the local stars scale then they are very easy to find. Usually they're a small/faint orange dot on the map.

Stellar-mass black holes and white dwarfs are also pretty easy to find this way. smile

Finding one at random would be a challenge, but finding them in the map mode is very easy. You can find dozens in under 30 seconds smile

Nothing. Perhaps in the future some sort of pulsar effect will be added to neutron stars, but for now they're just like tiny fast-spinning space-warping stars.

Oh yeah. I have found so many neutron stars they are boring. Same with Black holes, found a triple system with them once.

I don't use the map mode. I like to take the challenge on by using the 3D space mode and just go off and see what I can find.

Yeah, the one that I had found was purely by chance and I wasn't even actively looking for them.

I rarely use map mode either, I too prefer to fly around unassisted by navigational tools.
