| Is your photosphere marred by dark spots? Are you ashamed to be seen every eleven years? Does that hot blue beauty ignore your proposals to form a binary? You've been advancing in the main sequence, and your ugly sunspots are a sure sign you'll become a red giant soon! No wonder she ignores you. But now there's l'Oreal's Sunspot-B-Gone, a handy creme that'll cover up your sunspots and make your photosphere look perfectly smooth. Just look at this: Before:
After:
Because you're worth it. Sunspot-B-Gone is not recommended for O and B stars, stellar remnants, or brown dwarfs. Information used in advertising may not reflect current scientific understanding.
Anyway, now seriously: I've been noticing some stars have sunspots and others don't, and our Sun is part of the group that misses them. This is kind of odd, considering they were discovered on the Sun in the first place; shouldn't it have sunspots?
I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

| Quote (apenpaap) (fake advertisement) nice one!
Strange though, since I know that in previous versions our sun did have sunspots. Maybe this texture is for during a Solar minimum

| But isn't our sun currently approaching a solar maximum, when it should have the MOST sunspots?
Careful. The PLATT Collective has spurs.

| I agree. Sunspots are a rare appearance since 0.96.

Not all stars in SpaceEngine have sunspots, so there might not be anything wrong.

| Quote (Conquesti) Our Sun doesn´t have sunspots. Yes, in this version Sol does not have sunspots. A thread about it already exists here: http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/11-1064-1
Doing a search for "sunspots" brings up that thread. In the future, please try to use the search function before making a new thread.
