I found two stars being oddly close.
They are 0.089 AU from each other.

Is this normal?

Wow, but I don't think they are close enough to be contact binaries, though I'm not sure. It's certainly the closest I've ever seen stars together.

The distance that separates these star is half that, and I've seen stars much closer, it's nothing special. Also, the star you "found" is not procedural, it's a catalog star. So it's no new find.

Nice find! I've seen this before twice in 0.95. It was long time ago, but both times I believe I wasn't able to approach the stars as if there was an invisible sphere wrapped around them that I'm hitting.

This has happened to me with planets..... Apparently, with a few planets I found, the barycenter was so big that you hit the edge of the barycenter (collision detection failing), and trying to avoid it by selecting the planet wouldn't help because you would still be selecting the barycenter.
