Hi,
I just discovered this software and wanted to say thanks - it is great.
I thought it might help new people to have some examples of cool journeys to make to show off the interface and abilities of the engine.

Here is one.

------
Example flight - Earth to the shoulder of Orion.

F3
type Earth - click ok

press g to go to Earth

F3

type Rigel - click ok

press c
this will centre Rigel - you will see the constellation Orion.

Press g to fly to Rigel
------

Cool eh?

Here is another Example flight - Local galaxies free flight tour and a trip to far off Beauty spot.

F3
type Earth - click ok

press G to go to earth

F3

type M 31 - click ok

press c
this will centre M 31 (Andromeda Galaxy)

You could Press g to fly to Andromeda, but instead try increasing you speed to around 50 kpc/sec with the mouse wheel and then try to travel there manually using wasd keys and the mouse. It is probably best to be in free flight mode (press 3)

If you get lost you can always centre the currently selected object by pressing c

Try flying around the local galaxies to get an idea of our galactic neighbourhood.
You can find the Milky way by putting 'Milky Way' into the Find Object Dialogue (F3)

Now were really travelling. Finally...

F3

Type IC 1510-2

Press G

This baby is a long way off. 927 935 516 light years (roughly...)

I made a mistake here - it is not 3 to enter free flight mode, it is 1.

In 0.90 and 0.93 versions you can go to one of the most amazing places I've found: A gas giant with 5 terrestrial moons. Just open 'F6' menu and select the "5 terrestrial moons," then press the 'go to' button. You will be teleported to the moon surface of the gas giant planet, it has have 3 comfort terra moons and 2 comfort deserts. This is my favourite place smile

Sadly though, I have recently destroyed this place... I made some changes to the solar system generation algorithm, so any procedural systems that you visit in 0.93 version will now disappear in new version. The old universe was destroyed, and new one was created! smile
