Going to be making a few of these and all are copyright clean for re-use (meaning the music, not the images smile )

Only got into Space Engine last week and although these have been done before I made my own.

Nobody answer ? Well I'll be the first !
I like you videos because it makes me dream of distant place where we'll never go... Seeing so many people making vids for this early game is great.
A +1 especially for "Our place in the universe" !

What I find amazing about Space Engine, is not that it creates a procedural universe. But that it creates the same universe repeatedly.

I can take a picture of any of the billions of planets in any Galaxy no matter where it is, look at that planet on someone else's PC and it is exactly the same.

Every star, planet, moon, asteroid and nebulae I see on my PC, everyone else is seeing the same thing in the same place. Everyone sees exactly the same universe.

I have no idea how it works, but that alone is very impressive.

Very cool videos! cool

Although a warning, you won't be able to edit this post after a few days due the forum so if you plan on making more you might have to make another thread.

EDIT: Nevermind, disregard what I have said, this issue has been fixed now.

Indeed, it's one of the main reasons why it's so amazing.

It works by having the generator follow a very specific "rule" or "seed" to generate, this produces the same result every time. cool

NP, I am going to make more and a lot better. I have quite some experience making machinima so hopefully the next ones will be really worth watching.

Well it does have some very small shots taken from space engine smile

My video that was shown at the Cambridge film festival in the UK. Synchronisation licence signed by the band so it was in effect one of their official videos for the track. Sorry, but it is a large file, it is the actual file used to show the film on the big screen and besides, I hate youtube.

From my website.

Added a Youtube link even though I detest the quality.
