The default is .jpg with 90% quality, isn't it? Well, I think .png is the best screenshot format, but let's just leave Solaris alone to make the best configs he can cool

My default jpg was 95% quality, i have do some test and indeed the png is better, sharper ! but double size compare to jpg, anyway i have switched to png. happy

Sometimes PNG can have better file size than JPEG if the image is mostly black (which in your screenshots it isn't), but yes usually PNG is larger. But for computer generated images like these screenshots, compression artifacts in JPEG images has a large impact, so PNG is a great improvement.

Ultimately which is better depends on the situation and your personal preference. But you should always take screenshots as PNG since you can convert to JPEG later if necessary smile

The real surface brightness of Venus is 100 times higher than Jupiter's. It will be interesting to compare them visually.
