Hey Guys,

this is my Video made with Space Engine. Space Engine is great but lacks of good visualisations of Nebulas. So i added them with After Effects and Cinema4D. I hope you enjoy it.

Impressive! Love the visualizations of the nebulae and the black hole.

Amazing work. I would kill to have nebulae actually look like that in SE. I am practically drooling just thinking about it.

Thank you for the great response to my Video! I very appreciate that! biggrin

When i first encountered space engine i had the idea of making a movie from it in mind. But the amount of work kept me from doing it. Although i have some experience in video/photo editing an i was a total newbie to 3D animation. There were a lot of things for me to learn, especially how i create a satisfying look of the nebulas. I used some 2D to 3D conversions which was easier to do in After Effects than the real 3D objects on textured meshes. The workflow is kind of going from Photoshop to Cinema4D and After Effects. Space Engine lacks of good visualisations of stars, so i created them from Fractal Noise effects in AE. Galaxies look ok in Space Engine but i decided to make my own version.
