I think that there are really too many planets with life. Planets with life are in the SpaceEngine universe much too ordinary. It does not make fun of discovering something that is to be had at every corner. dry

What's been hard is finding planets with atmospheres that aren't toxic to humans

I thought the atmospheric compositions have been improved in 'SE 0974 RC2'?

Perhaps a version of this mod could be made that simply increases the probability of breathable atmospheres

This is currently, I think, not yet possible. sad

Don't forget to look here.

Maybe is just me. But well i kind of dont see the 12 years of work xDD. If you could explain a little bit more whats in this system so especial? Maybe i just dont get it. I look around nothing so special vs other solar systems i have seen in SE.

I appreciate the idea behind this, but I've had scarcely any trouble finding planets with life, even multicellular life. What's been hard is finding planets with atmospheres that aren't toxic to humans (Am I the only one who's thinking SO2 is a bit too common?).
Perhaps a version of this mod could be made that simply increases the probability of breathable atmospheres; surely the abundance of Earth-like planets would increase accordingly.

Yeah the previous default settings had only a 1% chance of lifeterras, but I bumped it up to 15%. I can go higher if needed. :)

And unfortunately JackDole is right, there are no configurable settings to change the frequency of terras with high oxygen levels. sad

Good point. To be fair, I worked on it slowly, taking my time. There would be long periods of time between adding or removing anything, or editing anything, or doing anything at all. I've got other games I like to play too, ya know. :P Not to mention having a job takes some of my time as well. :/

As for the "importance" level, I'm not sure. I did make this system a focal point in a short story I wrote and posted online a few years ago. I built a website for it and so forth, but when I really think about it, yeah, there's nothing really special, in the grand scheme of things. I just wanted to share a creation that I really liked, is all, insignificant as it may be. smile

For the RC 2 version of this mod, I would recommend using it with both Kluds's mountain mod *and* Rodrigo's terrain mod for best effect. (Edit: Although I do believe it might be able to work by itself if you just want my mod. smile )

For the RC 3 version, neither Klud nor Rodrigo have updated their mods for 0.974 RC 3 yet, so my mod here is the only tg_terra_height mod available for it that I know of. smile

Well anyway its good that you did share the system with the community. But in my opinion you should try to add something special to your system. I dont know like creating big armies or making some cities or just some epic mountains.

Updated to 0.974 RC 1. :)

If anyone wants to try fixing the issue with RC 2 themselves, here's the files, since I'm all out of ideas.

If anyone has had trouble downloading my new version, I apologize, I mistakenly overlooked some settings on google drive. I have since tried to correct it. If you continue to have problems downloading, let me know here, and I'll try to fix it. smile
