Binary Worlds?

Loving Space Engine so far, but was wondering about Binary planets. I'm working on a short sci-fi thing for my rpg group that takes place on Binary Planets and was wondering if anyone could give me coordinates for some systems they've found. I'd prefer worlds that contain life, but anything that I could use for pictures, descriptions, answers to questions like distance, orbit period, etc.. would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The Zeta 2 Reticuli system has 2 pairs of binary worlds with life. It's just the next system over from the location (under the flag marker on the side bar) called "Zeta Reticuli". So, from there, zoom out in map mode until you see another star system (also called Zeta Reticuli), and there you will find some binary planets.

It is truly a phenomenal sight.

Is there way to search for Zeta Reticuli in the game? Am I over looking it?

No, unless you can type Greek letters on your keyboard. You can try ζ Ret or the location "Zeta Reticuli" under the locations tab (it looks like a flag on the sidebar), but the star system you are interested in is called ζ2 Ret in the game.

You don't need to type Greek letters. Just learn this table: http://en.spaceengine.org/publ/user_manual/1-1-0-1#appendix1

I am having trouble finding the Zeta Reticuli Star System in Space Engine. I have tried all the above suggestions as well as it's other catalog designations:

Zeta1 Reticuli
ζ1 Reticuli, ζ1 Ret, Zeta1 Ret, CPD −63°217, GCTP 701.00, GJ 136, HD 20766, HIP 15330, HR 1006, LFT 275, LHS 171, LTT 1573, SAO 248770

Zeta2 Reticuli
ζ2 Reticuli, ζ2 Ret, Zeta2 Ret, CPD −62°265, GCTP 705.00, GJ 138, HD 20807, HIP 15371, HR 1010, LFT 276, LHS 172, LTT 1576, SAO 248774

nushed_kruts1, that's because space engine doesn't have them as a binary system and instead there are individual stars. search for Zet2 ret and Zet1 ret

In "Find Object" window, Greek denominations are written with the first 3 letters, and so do constellation names.
In your case Zeta1 Reticuli is ZET1 Ret.

Be advised though, if you're searching binary planets probably there are none in those systems, since every now and then new SpaceEngine versions have a new procedural seed which leads to completely new procedural planetary systems.

In order to find some, you can use the Star Browser filter with parameters like this:
